This boat has been well maintained and is cosmetically and technically in good shape.

There is a Seidelmann owner's website for more infos.

According to the yard brochure:
Her generous beam, relatively pinched ends, and powerful masthead sailplan make this 30 footer seem like a miniature Grand Prix racer.
Actually Bob Seidelmann designed her to compete under a variety of racing rules and to cruise with family or friends.
She sleeps six and provides and provides full galley, enclosed head with shower, hot and cold pressure water and many other cruising amenities, yet racing under the performance handicap racing fleet, midget ocean racing club and measurement handicap system rules was very much in Seidelmann's mind when he created the 299.

Her clear, wide, relatively flat decks are set up well for sailhandling and her toerail adds sheet lead verstility. The beam and 3600 pounds of ballast add stiffness. Still, her displacement is moderately light.
